"On paper you wouldn’t think the director of Cobra and Rambo 2 made a superior Wyatt Earp movie just the year before this.
Wyatt Earp has devoted performance but Tombstone had more memorable performances. As well as more more memorable shootouts.
Tombstone was also a lot shorter. I recall Tombstone not even released for critics at first. Which is shocking since Wyatt Earp is the one that is almost a a B-movie is comparison."
"Love me some Kevin Costner."

"At over 3 hours in runtime, and with a stellar cast like this had, I was expecting much much more. This is basically a very bland life history about Wyatt Earp, the ordinary guy. Very little is mentioned of his fearsome reputation - and ability - as a gunslinging lawman that tamed so many western towns; instead, you hear about his childhood, his family, and his relationships. With similar movies like "Tombstone", this one is better off read in a history book. Not interesting at all."
"Not as good as tombstone … but not a bad western "
