"Considering how much the VHS box art jumped out at me from off the video store shelf back in the day it's surprising I didn't get to this one sooner. What made me finally throw it on this April 1st was reading somewhere that rather than a straight-ahead slasher this film works better as a black comedy/mystery. That got me curious. It's definitely an outside-the-box movie, for its time, with scenes that feel like actual friends hanging out until random moments where the fourth wall feels like it may have been broken. I dig this oddball Agatha Christie-esque "jokes on you" slasher jam quite a bit."
