"Batman and Robin (I refuse to use ampersands, and I'm not accepting comments at this time) is not as aggressively BAD as some would have you believe. It leans into the campiness of yesteryear more than the preceding live action Batman movies did, and it leans less into the psychological aspects of Batman than those other films, but it's not a bad movie. It's just not very good. The costume designs are often criticized, but the explanation of wanting to emulate classical art lends some context to the decision, and I can appreciate WHY that choice was made. The movie also presents the least interesting Bane ever. "
