"It was fun to see where the Bond franchise started and I enjoyed this Bond."

"More spy craft than succeeding films in the series. And less spectacular over the top action scenes. (I like those myself, but this movie makes for a fine contrast.)And it’s got the iconic scene in the casino (“Bond. James Bond.) Also of note: the scene where Bond says, “That’s a Smith and Wesson. You’ve had your six.” It may seem tame by today’s standards, but audiences I saw it with in the 60’s gasped in astonishment; they’d never seen a “Good Guy” do that."
