This book captures young love perfectly. The way the author captures their connection, by also adding complex emotions. The ending was so unexpected and just brought things to be more emotional and touching. To be able to see a personal story ( fiction) of 9/11 was so impactful. The ending was a little iffy in my opinion because I felt it didn’t show their relationship be “ complete” but I guess that leaves room for imagination. I loved this book and completely recommend it.

Perfectly written. Although the author never finished unlocking her and his personality it gave the book a mysterious flair and kept me wanting to know more. Probably the best book I’ve ever read with its impeccable word choice and aligned plot. Turning one of the worlds Best known paintings into a novel. Truly the best way to tell the story of an emotional yet not physical affair. It left me in awe.

This book is an exemplary story about real and young love. The characters had such a strong connection that felt so real, along with its awkwardness. I do have to say the ending could have been better, it’s almost as if the author got bored and stopped writing. But I recommend it! It leaves you pondering on what true love is.

This book will forever take up a place in my heart. It’s the reason I love reading now, the short but compelling story of a first and last love. I love the way that it’s told, it made the chapters feel easy and light to read. The detail in the book made it feel like a movie. I cried my heart out at the end but it was worth it. I loved this book and completely recommend it for someone who loves a sad love story with an original plot.
