Thoroughly entertaining. I honestly had trouble putting it down. I think I would have enjoyed more detail about the global consequences of a disaster of this magnitude, like you might get from Crichton or Stephenson, but I recognize that this story intentionally focused on local happenings. Even so, detail was sparse enough that it felt almost cursory. Definitely recommend this as a worthwhile, entertaining read, even if it's mostly fluff.
