Loved fantasy when I was a teenager but I haven't read any in more than 10 years. I feel like this woke up a dormant part of my soul. Excellent character driven fantasy. Long fight scenes usually aren't my thing, but these felt like reading visual art. So beautiful and captivating. The overall themes were very moving and thought provoking. Large cast of incredible characters.
