You can’t beat Nora Roberts for relatable characters, excitement, thrills and romance. I just reread this one and it’s just as good now as when it was first published.

If you have avoided reading this book because you didn’t like the movie, you need to give this a chance to redeem itself. Dune is the first book introducing the Atreide family and the science fiction turn on the machinations of royal families on a desert planet. The details and character development will pull you in and paint pictures in your mind no movie can.
