If you are dipping a toe into light horror, or feel like psychological thrillers don’t feel psychological enough, run to grab your copy of Sundial by Catriona Ward. Sundial had me intrigued from page one and held my attention until the last page where I was craving for more. Sundial will definitely be one of those books I’ll keep thinking about and wishing I could read again for the first time. Readers should check trigger warnings before starting this book.

Listened to this book and the audio version was well done. Liked the story and the premise with the perspective coming from a wife that is left in the dark searching for clues and answers right along with the reader. All in all it probably won’t be a book that i think of for recommending in the future, but it was entertaining and I enjoyed the story. 3/5

I’m not a fantasy fan, generally. I’ve dipped a toe in here or there but by no means call myself a fan. Until now. I don’t know if From Blood and Ash is baby fantasy, but this book was really good. Sprinkle in a little romance, and you have a book that will rank high on my recommendations list. I can’t wait to continue this series!

This was a cute read with several laugh out loud moments and plenty of spice. 3 bffs go to a wedding where there is a rekindled romance with an ex for one, and a new relationship for another. Fun, silly, and steamy. A nice easy read with a cute storyline. 3/5

This book started off with a bang and I was really engrossed. Then something happened toward the middle… it just became a push to keep going in the book. I can’t really explain the shift. I heard so many great things I forced myself to keep reading and not DNF but I found I prioritized everything over picking this book back up. The end of the book wakes up in a hurry and the last 50 pages or so go back to the explosive style the beginning had. Don’t get me wrong, this is a good book. 3.5/5
