I’m on the “not full thumbs up but not down either” team. It was very slow for the first 100-150 pages. I found a lot of repetition within the book that annoyed me. I hate when authors reiterate excessively. It had great twists, the ending was well laid out. It draws attention to codependent relationships which I could appreciate. The odd drop of feminism seemed misplaced. That’s my thoughts.
We Were Never Here

This book had me worried! Reviews were not so great but I actually enjoyed it. It’s got a slow plot twist I figured out right away but it didn’t wreck the book for me as it unraveled. There is basically a damsel in distress that can fend for herself to some degree but craves freedom. There is the classic handsome hero to save her. Then there is the twist. Easy read. A little repetitive with points but enjoyable.
