There’s so many factors that place this movie as a “disaster,” BUT the moment of redemption in the story is in the ending. I feel this is a true representation of the human tendencies and/ or mental illness and the effects from those around you. You’ve got the sociopath/narcissist, the martyr, and the lover. As much as Johnny helps and sacrifices he feels he’s betrayed because of his friends choices. And because of his internalized feelings, he does the thing in the end…. I don’t know. Maybe I’m thinking too much into it and wish for some complexity in such a simple film.

As a new homeowner… new fear achieved! 😂 It’s a decent movie. Entertaining and definitely creeped me out.

There’s something wrong with this movie. 😂 I don’t know how to feel about it. I don’t want to give this a poor rating. Blumhouse is one of the better horror productions that I’ve watched and really enjoyed. I guess I’m a bit bummed at the ending. I liked the paranormal concept of it, but it could have been better!

This is a fun family film with show runners Anthony Mackey and David Harbor. Anthony Mackey was well suited for his role as the overconfident, annoying father figure that eventually has the redemption character arch towards the end. David Harbor got to show his versatility with his character having more non-verbal cues than lines. Overall it’s entertaining. If this had been a more serious movie, I’d probably have more criticism, but as a kid friendly sci-fi, paranormal, crime movie it wasn’t terrible. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
