Cress is a lot like Rapunzel from Disney’s Tangled. I wonder if the author wrote the character after Disney’s version of Rapunzel

This series, these characters, this author, and THIS BOOK especially, holds an incredibly special place in my heart! I grew up with these characters and I still fall in love with them every time I read this series.

I love the spin on classic fairy tale characters. Especially making two of them BIPCO/POC
