Good story, characters and different magic but not so different it's unrealistic. Writing was pretty good but definately room for improvement.

Listened to this as an audio book and the authors words vs the story were hard to tell apart at first but im sure it's better to actually read it. Such great snippets into the lives of characters I loved and had no idea I needed more info on. Touched on all the juicy apocalypse stories I usually want but miss out on in zombie book that follows a regular timeline.

Not a fan of romance and I loved it. This got me reading way more romance novels.

Really good story, characters, twists, and romance. Rekindled my love of apocalyptic literature. Just all around one of my favorite books I've read this year. .

Not done it yet but I already love it. I was skeptical but it's the first queer romance that's actually had a bit of a reason for the couple to get together other than seeing each other.
