Quirky and weird and completely engaging.

The train is a remnant of humanity & its societal structures. Class system is clearly defined and (beaten over your head if you still don't get it) represented by vicinity to the engine. The lowest class, those "freeloaders" who got on without paying fight for equality and or revolution (no spoilers). Has the usual admonitions about mankind destroying the world etc. Takes a very practical and approach to feeding a large group without resorting to cannibalism.
