Incredibly witty and severely underrated. "The Low Dollar wallowed and heaved like a blowsy old woman trying to climb out of a water bed." I never even thought about Lake Superior and knew nothing of the shipwrecks and bodies buried beneath the water. I'll admit, the nautical terminology was over my head but it did not detract from the story or the characters. I liked this better than her first book and can't wait to read more in the Anna Pigeon series.
A Superior Death

Not a typical book I would read and I didn't think I would make it past the first couple of chapters. But then the protagonist showed some endearing qualities and I wanted to see the story through. Full of action and well-developed characters throughout. Held my attention and will likely seek out another Preacher adventure.
