Mockingjay is my personal favourite book in the three part series. The character development of Katniss reaches new levels as she experiences the complications of politics, war, rebellion, and her relationships. Readers also get to connect with more characters as Finnick and others introduced in Catching Fire continue their storylines. The ending is devastating, but so it is in war. I appreciated Collins authenticity in the conclusion.

The Giver was one of the first dystopian books I fell in love with. This novel faces the question of what would happen if we could create a "perfect" society without pain.
