I in fact really recommend the dub for the funny dialogue. Yusuke gets to be a lot more crass in the English language which fits his character a lot"

Personally I can't stand the opening or closing music but if I remember to mute that is no problem. I'm watching it for the first time in 2020 so I can say for certain that it is not nostalgia that made this show stand the test of time better than most 90s cartoons/animes."

antoine_marshall shared a tip "This is my all-time favorite anime. The characters, the plot, the world they created. It does reach a little after the first tournament, but it is a ride from beginning to end. It is incredibly underrated."

My Grandma accidentally bought a VHS tape with a few episodes on it thinking it was a normal kids cartoon and popped it on for me to watch before I went to bed. Soon people where shooting beams from their fingers and fighting demons and thus my shounen obsession began. Over a decade later I came back to watch further from those few episodes and can definitely say that this series has a ton of action and a surprising amount of emotion. A must see."
