"Cancelled — I checked out the first few episodes of this show when it first premiered, and I kinda liked it (although it’s more #odd #quirky #trippy & #weird than it is laugh-out-loud funny), & the production value was very good — I decided to save it to my WATCHLIST so I could use it to brush up on my Spanish-language skills, HOWEVER, I just saw a notification on TWITTER today (12/2/2022) announcing that HBO's #LosEspookys has been #CANCELLED after 2 seasons😞 #satirical #absurd #different #Latinx #HorrorComedy "

"This was sadly cancelled, but it is brilliant and worth the watch anyway. The creator and main character is comedian-writer Julio Torres, best known for his HBO stand-up special "My Favorite Shapes" and his SNL sketches ("Wells for Boys", "Papyrus", "Melania Moments" and "My Little Stepchildren" are among his most well-known). The humor is esoteric, strange, fanciful, dreamy, absurd and was described as "otherworldy" by the NYT. In other words, it is *not* for everyone. But for the people it *is* for, well, it is enchanting ride with constant laughs. If you aren't multilingual, it does have subtitles as it is half in English (with Spanish subtitles) and half in Spanish (with English subtitles). "
