"Probably my 2nd favorite tv show of the year, after Diplomat. In preparation for this, I went back and watched the last 3 episodes of the original. What struck me was the low production level. This doesn’t have that problem. Huge budget, wonderfully written and directed and superb acting all around. Stand out are Olyphant’s real life teenage daughter, playing the same role here, and angel Adelaide Clemens, playing almost as far as she can get from type. One problem with the season climax but nothings perfect I guess. And if there’s not another season, which there better be, it would be cruel how they post scripted this. "
"If you liked Justified, you'll like this.
If you've never seen Justified, this'll make you want to go back and watch it.
You can really feel the Elmore Leonard influence in the new setting of Detroit.

"As a huge fan of the original, I loved how well they incorporated Raylan into another Elmore Leonard story he wasn’t in originally. The writers do such a great job adapting Elmore’s voice in these stories. The cinematography is a huge upgrade over the original, the cooler colors work exceptionally well in this story. The tag on the end was a huge surprise, and I can only hope they decide to continue this top notch series. 🤞"
"Love this show and wish there was more to come. I also enjoyed the prequel so I’m very biased. I thought it was great and I would like this storyline to continue as it is Rock solid."

"I’m happy Olyphant got to work with his daughter. I hope I never have to watch her again, however. The casting is otherwise excellent, but she’s making me gag. Cannot handle the voice. Ugh. "

"The introduction of the teenage daughter was a distraction to the story arc. She was an obnoxious teenage girl trope that was unnecessary. Once she moved out of the plot, the show improved but did not reach the same excellence as the original series. Secondary characters were unremarkable compared to original Kentucky characters. "
