"This series is far from a masterpiece, but still an interesting watch. A truly ambitious vision of ancient Rome and its citizens, it has some problems with the writing but the set designs and costumes are pretty impressive. Iwan Rheon as Tenax and Jojo Mecari as Domitian are the standout roles in my opinion. There are quite a few subplots in the storyline, some not as interesting as others. But the saving grace for me was the action sequences were particularly brutal and innovative, especially in the final episode of the season. All in all, it drew me in enough to binge watch the entire thing, and I look forward to seeing a second season if they have one. 7.5/10
