"Anastasia Allen has worked her entire life for a shot at Team USA. A competitive figure skater since she was five years old, a full college scholarship thanks to her place on the Maple Hills skating team, and a schedule that would make even the most driven person weep, Stassie comes to win. No exceptions. Nathan Hawkins has never had a problem he couldn't solve. As captain of the Maple Hills Titans, he knows the responsibility of keeping the hockey team on the ice rests on his shoulders. When a misunderstanding results in the two teams sharing a rink, and Anastasia's partner gets hurt in the aftermath, Nate finds himself swapping his stick for tights, and one scary coach for an even scarier one. The pair find themselves stuck together in more ways than one, but it's fine, because Anastasia doesn't even like hockey players...right?" -- page 4 of cover.

"In the beginning, I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. There were perfect body characters who were not so perfect and I appreciated the realism. People had anxiety, one was learning how to deal with a narcissistic partner, and there were even therapy sessions. And all this was relatable. So much so that I felt the hurt. The most shocking part was that women who were competitors of the main characters were not written as horrible human beings. Yeah, I know right I could hardly believe it.
Anastasia and Nate were cute together. I mean Ana was looking for a hookup and Nate loves anything that doesn't love him so it worked out. But needless to say, Anastasia's best friend/sleeping buddy was very unrealistic. There was a lot of info dumping too. The side characters started to blur. It seemed as if they were introduced as future side-story romances rather than furthering the plot or character growth.
Still, there was something about these two and the story that fueled me.... well up until they got together and there were still 100 pages to go. Honestly, I felt like I missed something because Anastasia and Nate skating together made no sense to me nor did it accomplish anything. And I'm not a professional but I do watch a lot of Olympics and it doesn't feel common for someone to go from pairs to single and win. I dunno I guess the novelty wore off after a while and I got bored and realized there was no plot."
"An enjoyable romantic comedy. It was missing some substance for me. The stubbornness by both characters was a little annoying and not endearing. "

"Truly an amazing read! The world building, character development, even the sport exploration is just so amazing. I’m glad that there are more books that in this book reality so that I can continue to read about everyone in the this one, because it wasn’t just the two MCs that were well written. The two MCs go through so much but still the end is whole and happily complete, the author did a great job of leaving more to the story but not making the ending a cliffhanger. This book is candidly excellent. "
"I read this book because social media told me to, and I don’t necessarily regret it. It was a charming read. However, I don’t understand the large amount of hype behind this book. Everyone loves a cute little sports romance book. I ended up loving Anastasia and Nathan and rooting for them to be together in the end, just like you want from any love story; however, I found the writing unthought-out. I found that a lot of the writing style was very much telling and not showing, and that’s just a part of creative writing that I have a hard time getting through, but I stayed for the plot. Specific plot dynamics in this story were fascinating, such as Aaron being extremely manipulative toward Anastasia and Nathan‘s relationship with his family. All aspects that I felt could’ve been delved into more profoundly, but instead, we got an abundance amount of sex scenes that I didn’t need. Don’t get me wrong. I love spiciness and books, but this book had it in every single chapter, and after a while, I just started skimming through it because it was so repetitive after a while. Other than that, it was a cute, relaxing read, nothing to write home about, but fun. "
"-⭐️/5 (that is a negative sign)
This. Book. Would. Never. End.
I have never DNF’d a book. I am one of those stubborn readers that insists if I paid for the damn thing, I’m going to finish it. This book brought me so close so deleting my Kindle from existence. It is so long and drawn out for NO REASON. I skimmed through the last 20% because the author wouldn’t shut up about the same crap. I could have scrambled the chapters together and you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference because hardly anything changes in the book, that is not an exaggeration.
If you thought this would be a cute romance book with two athletes, you are in for a rude awakening. There is hardly any athleticism in the book, Hannah Grace evidently has absolutely 0 idea how sports work. This is a college sex book hot off the Wattpad press.
None, zero (0), absolutely not a single one of the characters in this book is likable. They all fawn over Anastasia who has a bad attitude then cries if someone says she will never be loved. She is a hypocrite, selfish, and a complete doormat who needs rescuing. It’s like the author vomited all of her middle school ideals of a dramatic life into a book. There are 700 side characters but only 4 that really show up throughout the book. And all of them, every single one, loves to know that Nate and Stassie are hooking up. It’s weird!!!
Speaking of, 90% of this book is sex. Which, if that’s your thing that’s great, but there are maybe 10+ sex scenes. And no plot. Aaron was just written to be the worst possible villain on the planet, he’s not a believable character at all. There’s no point being eager to hear about Nate playing a game or Anastasia’s figure skating because you will hardly hear anything about that. The back and forth between them was sickening and stroke inducing. This book could have easily been 250 pages and been SO MUCH BETTER.
Such a waste of my life. Hannah Grace, respectfully, stay further than 500 ft away from me at all times."
