"I loved this book. It is a short read. It consists of several short stories that follow the same premise. It talks about politics and power manipulations with regards to technology and tackles the influence of economics and religions on politics. The writing is very captivating and easy to follow. Asimov spends almost the entire book focusing on dialogue and power dynamics between characters and spends very little time describing scenery which I also appreciated."
"this is one where I think the whole series is worth it. really unique plot structure, starting with hari seldon and running with the story for hundreds of years, finally returning at the end of it all with two introspective prequels (which I definitely recommend reading last!) there's a bit of action, just enough to add some spice, but overwhelmingly it's contemplative of the beginning of the end of an empire, which I think couldn't be more relevant at the moment. "
"Foundation has two meanings. The first being the title of the book, and the second being the foundation for Science Fiction writing. Isaac Asimov is very intelligent in his writing style and his plot formulation. The cleverness of this book is why I like it, but I do have a bit of a bone to pick with Asimov. It is very hard to become emotionally attached to a character when every part of the book has a new main character. I would give this book 3.6 stars."
