Topic: The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim
So there's a trailer out. I'm not excited. It has a very anime feel and a very fantasy feel. But not a Lord of the Rings feel. It seems to be chock full of cliché tropes, but does nothing original. Even the art just doesn't stand out to me. Anybody else seen it? Thoughts?
Topic: The Star Wars Holiday Special
Lucas Films needs to take another stab at a Star Wars holiday special. Here's my pitch. Set just before The Mandalorian, Luke has become jaded, reclusive, and critical following the failure of the New Republic (and its people) to eliminate the remnants of the Galactic Empire. He is visited by three Force ghosts (Yoda, Ben, and Anakin) who teach him the true meaning of Life Day.

Topic: Warfare
The first trailer for Warfare dropped. It’s the story of an ambush and the resulting fire fight in Iraq and will apparently be told in real time. It’s co-written and directed by Alex Garland (Civil War, Ex-Machina) and Ray Mendoza (a Navy Seal who was in the actual battle). It’s an A24 movie. It looks promising (it gives me Blackhawk Down vibes). https://www.indiewire.com/news/trailers/warfare-trailer-alex-garland-navy-seal-movie-a24-1235076271/
Topic: Carry-On
Carry-On is a Netflix thriller starring Taron Egerton, Sofia Carson, and Jason Bateman set for a December 13 release. It's set at LAX on Christmas Eve, and tells the story of a TSA agent who receives threats from a terrorist that he says can only be averted by allowing some sort of package through the carry-on lane.

Hey guys. I'm in the middle of season 2 of tsitp and they are selling the summer house. But I kinda like the kids are being a bit dramatic. Like if the adults can't afford it especially with all the expenses of medical bills, funeral, and 2 college tuitions that only Adam is paying for and the boys dont appreciate, wouldn't you be heartbroken but understanding. Idk not being pretentious, people don't even have homes let alone nice ones and some homes get destroyed while theirs still is standing.
Topic: Teen Wolf
I’m watching teen wolf right now and it is so good (also I might have a small huge crush on stiles) but I can’t quite get the Sterek ship. They barely interact, stiles spends most of the season thinking Derek is a murderer and they have a 5 year age gap. Can someone explain why this ship is so popular?
Topic: Godzilla Minus One
The next Godzilla movie in the Japanese line has just been announced! Takashi Yamazaki returns from Minus One as writer, director, and visual effects supervisor. Given the global hit's cliffhanger ending, could that film be getting a sequel? Could Godzilla Minus Two be hitting theaters in 2025?

Topic: Home Alone
I'm always curious about this question. So ever since I was little, I have never liked Home Alone since I found it very mean spirited due to Kevin's horrible family. I don't like watching Christmas movies that can be very mean spirited since I want to watch the movies to be cheerful and happy for Christmas, not be depressed or angered by it. So it surprise me that not only do people love it but consider it a Christmas classic. So I must ask why everyone loves the movie despite how cruel it is?
Topic: Dexter: Original Sin
Dexter original sin premiered Friday I'm happy to see more Dexter however as someone interested in psychology it's really bugging me how different Debra and Dexter are compared to the original and it's not just that they're less mature, that's only to be expected but their entire psychological profiles seems to have been altered I think for Dexter the problem is on the actor as for Debra I think the writers are dropping the ball. Have you guys noticed it, what are your opinions on the new serie

Highly recommend this documentary series for anyone who is interested in true crime! Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Topic: Blue Velvet
(Spoilers) Just watch “Blue Velvet” over the weekend and I really liked it… except for the ending. Does anybody know if the ending was a studio decision to make the film more marketable or if it was the intended ending all along and there’s just something in the movie I don’t get? Because to me it doesn’t feel like it should have a happy ending, but I’m entirely willing to admit that it may fit in a tonal or thematic way I just don’t get.
Topic: Kraven the Hunter
I posted a whole thing about how John Campea made a video of him and crew at Cinemacon yesterday for the Sony announcements to the wrong group 🤪. You can find the vid on YouTube, but here was my favorite news. Kraven is R rated and apparently a version of Rhino is the main baddie 😁. https://variety.com/2023/film/news/kraven-the-hunter-bloody-aaron-taylor-johnson-movie-1235593335/

Wow, this was outstanding. Absolutely gorgeous animation. Essentially a silent film. Doesn't hold your hand, expects you to keep up. Love that in a film. 5 stars.
