"Omg Bittle is too cute. I love how he's kinda a mother to everyone and keeps the frat house clean and loves his teammates. The character development tho. I was a bit uncomfortable with the language in the beginning but I got used to it and it's well worth it. And the end :)))))) I need to get the second book ASAP"

"i didn't see the romantic chemistry between bitty and jack. of course i knew they would eventually end up together, so the entire book i was waiting for the tension between them to build, for their feelings toward each other to grow. only i never saw that happen. what i saw was two teammates developing a close friendship. i thought this series must be a slow burn (this was before i knew there were only two books). i never got any sense that jack reciprocated bitty's feelings until the graduation scene. a major reason for this was jack's character design. he looks so much older than bitty, even towards the end of the book when bitty's going into his junior year. even though the age gap didn't bother me at this point (20 and 23), the difference in their appearances kept me from seeing them as a couple. that being said, my favorite aspect of this book was the friendship among the team. ******, holster, and ransom had me laughing out loud several times. it was wonderful seeing a sports team that had healthy relationships with one another. they talked about things beyond surface level, looked out for each other. their dynamic is in such sharp contrast to the idea of sports culture i've developed through media. all in all, i would recommend this to others. it's fun and engaging even for me, someone who is not a fan of sports by any means."
