"I liked the book overall. I really loved the friendship dynamic between Radar, Ben, and Q, it was so cute and so loving. Wanna know who I didn’t like though? MARGO. I don’t know if that is unpopular or not but she is so incredibly self centered and selfish that it made me mad. She leaves clues then claims she doesn’t want people to find her and got mad when they did. She acts like the victim by saying things like “that’s not the Margo Roth Speigelman everyone likes.” Like oh my lordddd. Regardless, interesting ending and im glad she wasn’t dead"

"this is and may forever be my favorite john green book. funnily enough when i was younger i hated it for the ending, but now i love it for that very same reason. the guy doesn’t get the girl, the girl never wanted to be found in the first place. she was just a girl. and q used her as his entire reason for being. he became obsessed with trying to find her and bring her home, when home was the worst place possible for her and she never wanted to go back. paper towns, not unlike the rest of green’s books does not end happily, but this one specifically resonated with me because of the fact that margo stood up for what she wanted and did the damn thing. "

"I started this book thinking it was a slice-of-life coming of age story, only to be met be an immense mystery. You follow the storyline like threads on a stereotypical detective's corkboard. Not only that, but the characters each are so memorable yet so believable. The characters straddle the line between "Memorable" and "Cartoonish" very well with believable dialog. I don't think I have ever read a book where someone could just pick a line of spoken word from it, and I could easily guess who in the book said it. I recommend this to anyone who loves a mystery rooted in reality."
