Gabrielle Zevin
In this exhilarating novel by the best-selling author of The Storied Life of A. J. Fikry two friends--often in love, but never lovers--come together as creative partners in the world of video game design, where success brings them fame, joy, tragedy, duplicity, and, ultimately, a kind of immortality. Utterly brilliant. In this sweeping, gorgeously written novel, Gabrielle Zevin charts the beauty, tenacity, and fragility of human love and creativity. Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow is one of the best books I've ever read. --John Green On a bitter-cold day, in the December of his junior year at Harvard, Sam Masur exits a subway car and sees, amid the hordes of people waiting on the platform, Sadie Green. He calls her name. For a moment, she pretends she hasn't heard him, but then, she turns, and a game begins: a legendary collaboration that will launch them to stardom. These friends, intimates since childhood, borrow money, beg favors, and, before even graduating college, they have created their first blockbuster, Ichigo. Overnight, the world is theirs. Not even twenty-five years old, Sam and Sadie are brilliant, successful, and rich, but these qualities won't protect them from their own creative ambitions or the betrayals of their hearts. Spanning thirty years, from Cambridge, Massachusetts, to Venice Beach, California, and lands in between and far beyond, Gabrielle Zevin's Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow is a dazzling and intricately imagined novel that examines the multifarious nature of identity, disability, failure, the redemptive possibilities in play, and above all, our need to connect: to be loved and to love. Yes, it is a love story, but it is not one you have read before.

"This terrific novel tells the story of two friends who grow up bonding over Super Mario Bros. and then, in college, start making their own games together. I really related to the story—in fact, it reminded me a lot of my relationship with Paul Allen and our work together at Microsoft. Tomorrow was one of the biggest books of last year, and it’s easy to see why. Zevin is a great writer who makes you care deeply about her characters."
"I definitely liked the book overall, though I feel like it didn't quite live up to all the hype I've heard about it. The book is very real, as in the characters go through many difficulties without them being sugar coated, and not everything has a happy ending. It emphasizes struggle, but also shows the importance of resilience. "
"I really enjoyed this book! The characters were perfectly unperfect, but still very likeable. The whole world was just really cool and interesting. I gave it 4 stars because it didn't have me at the point where I couldn't put it down. But I did really appreciate this book and how different it was from anything else I've read. "
"The story of the on-again-off-again friendship of Sam and Sadie that have the common interest of gaming. The backdrop of creating and developing games shows their ambition, competitive spirit, loyalty, insecurities and self-doubt - bringing out the best and worst in them. Tender and heart-breaking. Gamers will no doubt appreciate the gaming references!"
"I enjoyed the first part of this, but omg, it got soooo tedious. The characters are not likeable, and the book felt like 3 times longer than it actually was. There were certain elements that were good but overall it was difficult to finish it. And after finishing it I feel like I probably could have been ok without finishing it..."
"This book left me feeling heart broken. I didn’t necessarily feel captivated by this book and often looked forward to it being over but felt the need to finish it. I feel like this book goes nowhere and everywhere all at once. It is a book I’d love to discuss but might not recommend as I didn’t necessarily enjoy reading it. I’m very torn about this one. There is no doubt it is a well written book though! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5?"
