"I think I would have enjoyed this more had the focus been different. It's about a young chef opening a new restaurant when strange things start happening. All of the behind the scenes stuff about what it takes to open a restaurant..creating the menu, the soft opening, hiring the staff, etc. That was all very interesting. Then there was the scary/supernatural element. It plays like a slow burn so you keep waiting for something to happen and nothing really pays off. Had they left out the supernatural stuff and played it like a straight...made a different kind of movie it would have been much better. As is its just ok. Don't go into this expecting a horror cause you won't get much of that. More of a curiosity than a watch. "This film was very interesting and I was intrigued the whole way through, but I feel like this is not one of those films where you would call it a serious horror film. I was not expecting a lot of horror with this as this was about a chef opening her own restaurant, but I feel like they really held back with the horror, and in the end, it ended up being more of a drama thriller. However, Ariana DeBose did a good job with her role, as did the rest of the cast. The concept is great and there was never a moment where the film felt boring to me. I just feel like this film played it a bit too safe."
