"4/5⭐️ I’m so glad I don’t watch trailers or even look at opinions about films I’ve never seen. This is the type film the less you know than the better the experience. If you’ve read a think piece or saw the trailer you already probably seen too much. But even me going in completely blind I still figured out what was going on before the director intended. Even so I still had a lot of fun watching. This has been a great year for horror/thriller films because I keep saying this is one of the best films in that genre I’ve seen all year. I’m one of those people that hate spoilers so I really won’t be discussing much about this film at all. It’s too easy to give away the plot in doing so. Definitely draws inspiration from my favorite director Tarantino. Always been a fan of non linear storytelling. The actor Willa Fitzgerald really made me a fan and hope to see more from her in the future. Must watch for thriller and horror lovers. #highlyrecommended"

"I'm glad I decided to see Strange Darling in theaters - and that I saw it blind except for the trailer. It's a wild ride that had me on the edge of my seat. I loved the twists and the format of the film as well. Both Willa Fitzgerald and Kyle Gallner are give great performances and I hope to see both of them in more twisty thrillers again in the future. By the way, I can't help but compare this to Longlegs and while I loved that film too I think I preferred Strange Darling."
"this left me w/ a strange taste in my mouth honestly. the acting was excellent , i love Klye Gallner ( he was great in NOES). {{spoilers ahead}} but what the hell is the ElectricLady? & what does she have to do with true serial killers in this country going under the radar for decades, we have foreign gangs like M13 running amok, be honest about the state of the nation. I wont get on a soapbox but 10 women just went missing in Columbus OH a week ago & most ppl will never know cus its kept OUT of the news. Theres a real war/purge going on. God Bless This County 3/5"
"Go into this movie totally blind. It is an insane, totally messed up insane hell of a ride. But I loved every minute of it!If you like movies with twists and turns and movies that are twisted, then I think you will like Strange Darling. It was all shot in 35mm and some of the angles are stunning. Plus, it was really well acted. "
"Goodness. What...a...FASCINATING piece of cinema.
If others have called it unsettling, they're neither right nor wrong.
You spend weeks/months/years watching/listening to true crime stories only to keep realizing both the extent of humanity and the lack thereof pave a long, winding road into madness, either way.
Make this a golden rule in this day n age of trailers/reviews/Reddit spoiling a flick before you've had the chance:
Go in deaf, blind, and silent.
And -- for this very one: Enjoy the strangely *settling* soundtrack, darling."
"Ain’t going to lie this movie had me in the first act. Thought it was going to be a lackluster manhunt type of movie that only has great cinematography. But I was surprised how everything changed. The buildup was perfectly executed and I loved the choices made for these characters fate. It’s a shame that this movie is out on a limited release and I haven’t seen any discussion about this film. It’s definitely a fun, kinda surprising film, and definitely recommend watching."

"[Spoiler free]
Subversive, well acted, and intriguing, with great color motifs but I think some of the feminist commentary undermines other parts of the film. I felt like the movie was trying to say something, but then the film itself implies the very opposite. "
