"Spirited away is a beautiful little movie about leaving your parents side and being on your own in the world of work and maybe just how jarring that can be with its own rules that can make you feel small. Everyone seems to have their own intentions good or bad you can tell each character we meet seems to have their heart safe guarded in some way, probably from being beat down by the machine of work. If you want a feast for the eyes I think is is one of Studio Ghibli’s best, this movies animation is gorgeous you can tell each frame was loved just as much as the last."
"⚠️ SPOILER⚠️
This movie is super special to me. When I was a kid, my dad brought this movie home for the first time, and I watched it on repeat with him that day. We laughed at the quirky characters, marveled at the stunning animation, and shared the magic of this enchanting world.
Over the years, Spirited Away became our movie. It was our go-to whenever we needed a dose of wonder and imagination. But life can be cruel, and my dad's passing, through suicide, four years ago left an irreplaceable void in my life. This is where Spirited Away transcends being just a movie; it becomes a cherished memory, a connection to my dad that I hold dear.
The ending, where Chihiro leaves the spirit world and says goodbye to Haku forever, hits me deeply. It mirrors the pain of separation and loss that I've experienced. But it also reminds me of the love and bond I shared with my dad. Spirited Away isn't just a story; it's a part of my life, a symbol of the love and connection that endures even in the face of life's most challenging moments.
This film's beauty lies not only in its breathtaking animation but also in its ability to touch the soul. It's a testament to the power of storytelling and the emotions it can evoke. Spirited Away is more than a five-star movie; it's a timeless treasure that has helped me navigate life's highs and lows. It's a reminder that, like Chihiro, we all have the strength to overcome adversity and find our way home. Thank you, Studio Ghibli, for creating a film that continues to be my solace and inspiration.""
