"Excellent. Rewatching this today and remembering how Leo's performance so brazenly shapes this movie. It's wonderful. The fact that Leo and Tobey have been friends since they were very young actors, makes me watch their interactions intently to see if that bleeds through. I also want to call everyone "old sport" after I watch this. Recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"
"Leonardo DiCaprio's portrayal of Jay Gatsby is mesmerizing, capturing the character's charm and complexity brilliantly. Carey Mulligan as Daisy Buchanan is equally impressive, adding depth to the story.
Visually, the film is a treat for the eyes, with stunning cinematography and vibrant colors that transport you to the roaring twenties. The soundtrack perfectly complements the era, blending modern and period music seamlessly.
Luhrmann's direction infuses the story with energy and emotion, making it accessible to all viewers. It's a captivating adaptation that remains true to F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel.
In short, The Great Gatsby is a cinematic gem, a dazzling journey into the Jazz Age that deserves every bit of its five-star rating. Don't miss this extraordinary film."
