"I agree that this was painfully slow. However, you view this slasher from the killers perspective and I enjoyed the switch up from the normal horror formula that everyone seemingly follows these days. I’m also very much for all of the gore in this. One of the craziest kills I’ve seen in horror EVER. Definitely an anti-yoga movie. Definitely a must watch. "
"I really enjoyed this film. It gave me Friday the 13th/ Halloween vibes. One of the most terrifying things was how much people did not pay attention to their surroundings and also how terrifying nature can be. The sequences were incredible. I love that it followed the killer's point of view. "
"I loved the art of this movie! I enjoyed the idea of watching the killer rather than gaining an emotional connection for the victims. It honestly made it more scary knowing that the killer didn't care about who or why he was killing. The "flexible" scene was INSANE. It was hard to look at the screen. I would love to see a second movie just to see the kills they would add. My only complaint is that it was a little slow at times, but besides that it was great. Definitely don't watch this if you're looking for your typical jumpscare horror. "
"We primarily see this from the killers point of view, which sounds interesting on paper but not so much in execution. This killer reminds me alot of Jason Vorhees. He is basically a golem with a one track mind, get his necklace back and kill anyone along the way. There is a low body but a couple of unique kills. The major issue with a Jason like killer is there is no personality...no diaologe of any kind. So we just watch him walk. In fact I would say a good 20 min of the run time is just him walking around. I don't think I have to tell you that gets old very quickly. Not a whole lot happens. The ending was also a big swing and miss as it closes with a 10 minute story that has no bearing on the events. This would have worked better as a horror short...like 30-45 min. Thi was very disappointing. Watch any of the Friday the 13th movies instead. "It’s really slow, has poor acting and the dialogue isn’t great either. And the killer didn’t have much of a personality.
But I love how the movie is 90% the killer POV, and it tells a bit of backstory on the killer—although there was a few things I wish I knew. It has pretty good cinematography, and I loved the kills. The cliff scene was brutal.
It’s not completely horrible, if you’re a slasher fan I’d say try it. "
