"This is a spin off of a spin off. It's a spinoff of the Originals, which is a spinoff of the Vampire Diaries. This started out great with Hope Michaelson joining a school for "special" kids and dealing with the loss of her family in New Orleans and it was interesting. After the first couple seasons it just flails all over the place and ended with a fizzle /thud. I loved the characters, it's what they didn't do with them that's disappointing. "
"No because this was my favorite and I was obsessed with Hope and Landon and the last season and a half was just not it and I'm mad.
Like okay I know so many people hated that all they focused on was Handons relationship and that's understandable. But if the show wanted to do that they should have also continued with he relationship and if they wanted to move away from the relationship then they should have done it much earlier instead of making it such a big thing and then sizzling out so annoyingly. I personally still believe that Handon is together because I refuse to acknowledge the last season and a half. Started off good, didn't like it by the end."
"Hope has always irritated me and I’ll never understand why they gave her a spin-off"

"I just can't maintain an interest in this show, unlike Legacies' predecessors. I have given it so many chances. I kept up with it because of my love for TVD, hoping one day it'd return it's former series' glory. But after 3 seasons of boredom and disappointment, I gave it up. I loved The Vampire Diaries and The Originals. I think they are a great take on vampire lore, poetic, romantic and violent. Legacies seems like Plec's failed attempt at keeping the TVD universe revolving. It's poorly written, childish and incredibly irrelevant to its' predecessors. Between the concept of "monster of the week" and very childlike plotlines, this does not ballpark anywhere near TVD and TO. It seems like it's directed at a younger demographic, which is fine. As many people, especially teens seem to really enjoy this show. But as a die hard Vamp Diaries fan, I had high expectations and was expecting this to mirror TVD. While it maintains that teen drama aspect that TVD carried, I just don't feel a connection between the spin off of TO or TVD. It's just too different. It might as well have been a totally different series because the concept is completely irrelevant. The only thing remotely similar is Hope's presence, being Klaus and Hayley's daughter. With the exception of Alaric coming back as a recurring character, and Caroline only be mentioned until the series finale where she supposedly finally made an appearance. With few others from the Original clan making one episode appearances or being subtly mentioned. Aside from that, it really isn't relevant at all. It seems to lack that poetic depth and much of the vampire lore theme it once had in TVD. It focuses mostly on a new enemy, that is more ironically humorous than intimidating, witchcraft and other supernaturals being introduced, it really pulled the focus from vampires. Just not my cup of tea, not as a spin off or as a stand alone series. But it is up for debate. "
