"Before I write the rest of this review, I would like to acknowledge that I watched this in the English dub. I found it was easier to understand the complicated military and political systems if it was said to me rather than if I read it. Now that I have your attention, I would like to say this: This anime is amazing in that the animation quality is mind-blowing, the soundtrack is mesmerizing, and the themes will blow you away. The only reason I am rating this 4☆ is that the dialogue in the dub was poorly translated in the final battle sequence towards the end of Part 2. I also had an issue with how the writers handled the relationship between the villain of Part 2, as I didn't really understand what was going on with the relationship he had with the protagonist. I didn't consider the relationship critique as heavily in my review, as the confusion may have been resolved in the volumes that weren't adapted into the anime."
