"Came for the art style and the nostalgia, stayed for Raven Queen and Madeline Hatter. This is one of those children's shows that I surprisingly developed a deep attachment to, like a comfort show with comfort characters. If you read into them enough, there are hidden deeper messages regarding the plot of Ever After High, a big one (and what I'm also assuming is the underlying plot of the whole story) being the breaking of generational curses and not limiting yourself to societal standards (in this context, the stories of the fairytale characters/descendants being labeled as their "set destinies" according to the Storybook of Legends, along with going along with the norms of being a Royal or a Rebel). I had to resist the urge to cry after watching all of the episodes because of the beautiful messages portrayed in this animation series."
