"Incredible psychological sci-fi/fantasy action drama. Beautiful art and animation. Brilliant character designs. Plot is highly compelling through episode 8. After that, more and more sci-fi elements are added to the plot that seem to muddle things, but by the end of the special episode ("My Priority") that serves as the finale, it mostly lands on its feet. However, I'd love to see what happens after the special. ALL THE TRIGGER WARNINGS, though I think it handles its subject matter pretty well."

"The beginning was fantastic, but the end fell on its face in a puddle of on-fire gasoline. The explanation for what’s going on (w/o spoilers) ruined any good message it had, and even within con text of the story went completely off the rails. Might be worth watching still for some people for the start and the stellar animation."
