sarahrecsthings shared a tip "This series is incredible and continues to grow in depth with each book. It is like Game of Thrones meets Lord of the Rings but with more badass women in leadership. I have only two complaints overall: 1- the book would be so much richer if there was more diversity, even among the mostly white cast of characters it seems like 90% of them are blonde. 2-A lot of the male love interests are very dominant with a focus on “masculinity,” it definitely rubbed me the wrong way at times. Lastly, just a warning that a couple of the books tip more towards Adult than YA with some intense romance scenes, which are definitely not appropriate for younger YA readers."

I fell in love with the main character, having been around the same age at the time of first reading it and she is just so funny and so relatable. This series really sucks you into a whole other world with such ease, it’s amazing. I will continue to re-read this series for years to come."
