"Overall I’d have to say I enjoyed this book. The storyline touches briefly on divorce and the struggle of resettling and reshaping your life in its aftermath. The daughter is the strength in this book who looks after (used loosely) her 50 y/o strong and independent mother who suffers from crippling arthritis. We learn that the daughter Xanthe has the ability to feel the history of certain objects and as she gets older her talent manifests into time travel. And this is where we meet Samuel.
