"This installment was hard to follow in places, (it might read better in print vs. audio) and its conclusion was even less satisfying than its predecessors. But what can I say? I still enjoy the premise and look forward to the next book - especially with the hope that any short-term disappointments will pay off in the end...

PG13 for language (f-bomb)"
"You know, my initial thought when I picked this series back up was that Murderbot would thrive in the quarantine environment we have going on. But I have the sneaking suspicion that Murderbot actually likes (some) people, and enjoys helping others. Maybe it would be the type to remote deliver groceries, who knows.

I also get the feeling that Murderbot is a classic example of someone who quit a job they hate and then doesn’t know what to do with themselves afterward. The adventures it has been on are the stereotypical “finding myself” journeys, if a sentient sarcastic robot can be considered stereotypical. And in this book in particular, Murderbot has to use its skills from its previous hated job, which makes for a whole lot of interesting side comments.

I’m excited to check out the last novella, which will be just in time for the new novel coming out!"
