After she overhears her latest date say she is “so unbelievably boring,” Annie starts to think the problem might be her. Is it too late to become flirtatious and fun like the leading ladies in her favorite romance movies? Maybe she only needs a little practice . . . and Annie has the perfect person in mind to be her tutor: Will Griffin. Will—the sexy , tattooed, and absolutely gorgeous bodyguard—is temporarily back in Rome, providing security for Amelia Rose as excitement builds for her upcoming marriage to Noah Walker, Annie’s brother. He has one personal objective while on the job: stay away from Annie Walker and any other possible attachments to this sleepy town. But no sooner than he gets settled, Will finds himself tasked with helping Annie find the love of her life by becoming the next leading lady of Rome, Kentucky. Will wants no part in changing the sweet and lovely Annie. He knows for a fact that some stuffy, straitlaced guy won’t make her happy, but he doesn’t have the heart to say no.Amid steamy practice dates and strictly “educational” tutoring lessons, Annie discovers there are more layers to Will’s usual stoic attitude. "I absolutely adored Sarah Adams' book The Cheat Sheet, but this one unfortunately didn't incite the same feelings. In regards to writing, there was a lot of telling instead of showing and I felt like points were being reiterated so often that it was becoming annoying. And maybe I just have a thing for soft romances, but Annie and Will seemed more 'in lust' than they did 'in love'. That being said, I don't regret reading this. It was very enjoyable and I laughed on nearly every page. I loved becoming immersed in the small town community of Rome, KY, and reading all of the interactions."
"This book is everything; I love it so much. I was frequently laughing (out loud) or swooning or just smiling uncontrollably. From the quirky characters to the town of Rome (that feels so real), the story just becomes that much better. Will and Annie and adorable and perfect for each other, and they are so real and genuine. It is nice to see how much honesty played a role throughout the story as well as attentiveness and love. Also, I love all the snippets of Amelia and Noah and the epilogue of this story may not have been too long, but that just makes me that much more excited for the next book of the series. I can’t wait to go back to Rome! Thank you, Sarah Adams (I love your writing more and more with each book)!"

"Me? Giving a small town romance 5 stars? Who am I?
This book follows Annie and Will. Annie has not had much luck when it comes to dating and she’s starting to wonder if she’s even doing it right. That’s where Will comes in who is a bodyguard with many tattoos who helps Annie practice dating but what happens when their practicing becomes a little too real?
I really enjoyed The Cheat Sheet last year when I read it but this one was even better! Sarah Adams is someone who can pull off so many tropes really well.
First of all hats off to Sarah Adams for my first 5 star small town romance ever! While I’m not a big fan of the small town romance trope, I’ve been determined to find one that I’d give 5 stars and Sarah Adams was the first one to be able to do that!
Along with that, after reading two of her books now, she’s someone who pulls off mutual pining so well! If you love mutual pining and opposites attract, this is the book for you!
At first the practice dating element was a little cheesy for me and there are definitely elements of this book for me that were too cheesy but also this is a romance book so what can I expect really? There were parts of this book the practice dating fit so well with the plot.
I really loved both of the characters and Annie was a character I strongly related to when it came to her anxiety and just how everyone looks at her as this sweet innocent girl. She was fun to follow and it’s always fun to find characters who you can strongly relate to and identify with.
Overall, I absolutely adored this book and it’s definitely a favourite book of this year. As far as new releases go, this is one you should absolutely keep an eye out for! I highly recommend it!"
"this book is so cute!! I love getting to see Annie and her point of view, after reading the first book, When In Rome! I loved being able to read more of Amelia and Noah and of course I think Annie and Will were so cute. the character development was so good and I loved seeing so many of the characters progressing from the beginning of the story/from WIR.
