BOUND BY LOVE, BUT SWORN TO KILL . . . GUARDIAN ROSE HATHAWAY'S LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME.The recent attack on St. Vladimir's Academy devastated the entire Moroi world. Many are dead. And, for the few victims carried off by Strigoi, their fates are even worse. A rare tattoo now adorns Rose's neck; a mark that says she's killed far too many Strigoi to count. But only one victim matters . . . Dimitri Belikov. Rose must now choose one of two very different paths: honoring her life's vow to protect Lissa—her best friend and the last surviving Dragomir princess—or dropping out of the Academy to strike out on her own and hunt down the man she loves. She'll have to go to the ends of the earth to find Dimitri and keep the promise he begged her to make. But the question is, when the time comes, will he want to be saved? Readers who fell in love with Rose, Lissa, and Dimitri won't want to miss Blood Promise, the much-anticipated, epic fourth novel in Richelle Mead's enthralling Vampire Academy series.Love and Loyalty Run Deeper Than Blood Visit the website penguin.com.au/vampireacademy for more VA Visit betweenthelines.com.au - the destination for Young Adult books.

"This book stands out from the others in the series because it focuses less on action and more on Rose’s grief and character development. Lissa comes into her own as well. This is a very emotional book, and the second half crosses some lines. It’s problematic for sure, but I tolerate that because of how much I love it and the other books for other reasons. Also, I adore Sydney."
"Sooo hard to read. Basically a book of pain as Rose grieves and loses herself. There of course is also lots of adventure and killing Stregoi. There also is a somewhat interesting B plot that goes on with Lissa and her secretly being in danger that we only know about through Rose using the bond to see through her eyes. It isn't as interesting with Rose not actually physically involved and there. Painful for being utterly painful (if you expected it to be sexy having Rose meet up with stregoi Demitri you are solely mistaken. It's just gross and disturbing. But OBVIOUSLY WORTH READING TO GET THROUGH THE REST OF THE AMAZING SERIES!!!"
"I loved reading Charmeine and Malcom's story. Their struggle to save the world from the demonic curse and all the obstacles in the way made for an epic story. I loved how you got little glimpses of things from the past in this futuristic fallen world. I will admit that when I started reading I though Charmeine was a male, but soon realized my mistake. I really liked the face that even though the mission seemed hopeless they still kept pushing forward and tried to complete it anyway. This was a really great read and enjoyable the entire way through."
