They say your first kiss should be earned. Mine was stolen by a devil in a masquerade mask under the black Chicago sky. They say the vows you take on your wedding day are sacred. Mine were broken before we left church. They say your heart only beats for one man. Mine split and bled for two rivals who fought for it until the bitter end. I was promised to Angelo Bandini, the heir to one of the most powerful families in the Chicago Outfit. Then taken by Senator Wolfe Keaton, who held my father's sins over his head to force me into marriage. They say that all great love stories have a happy ending. I, Francesca Rossi, found myself erasing and rewriting mine until the very last chapter. One kiss. Two men. Three lives. Entwined together. And somewhere between these two men, I had to find my forever.

"I didn’t really enjoy this.. once I got into it, Frankie’s naiveness especially towards her virginity made everything especially the engagement party scene just, emphasized the age gap in a bad light for me. I finished the book because honestly I hardly DNF. But this was a miss for me. I loved Wolfe’s fierce loyalty and watching him open up and change his ways for her, but the constant miscommunication with the excuse of I’m young and don’t know better just left me wishing that Frankie was older. Not a bad book, just not it for me."
"This book didn’t sit right with me for one reason: it made a toxic relationship and sexual assault seem okay. I get dark romance, and I even like it sometimes, but in this book they romanticize the guy being a total jerk to her so much, and when he treats her like a person he expects an award. Not my favorite whatsoever :/"
"I highly recommend!"
