I loved the different meaning of words. I thought that was so touching. I absolutely love the dominance-between the both of them. I also liked how they brought Rowan & Zahra back in the story! This was so good! The “I know I don’t deserve you…” gahhh!"

I might’ve enjoyed the first one a little bit more only because I love Zhara so much. I really loved Iris though, she’s a girl boss and when she had enough since she knows her worth. It’s an interesting trope that I wouldn’t usually think to pull but I enjoyed the first book of the series I had to pull this one. Definitely recommend this series and I can’t wait for the 3rd book."

samantha_smith_3991 shared a tip "this book was amazing and i highly recommend anyone to read if they are considering. the entire book is amazing, the plot, characters and the loose connections to her previous book of the series. this book has great representation of how a black girl (like myself) views relationships after trauma without pushing the 'independent black woman' stereotype. lauren asher always writes great books, but after reading this one, she has topped my list as my favourite author!"

There is this one scene that spontaneously happens for no longer than two pages just to have another bonding scene which I found a very out of place and could have done better with but other than that it was cute"
