All the reviews essentially said "it's the funniest book you'll read" and "it's a really good depiction of the horrors of war" but in reality the book was painful to read, half the humor was at the expense of minorities, and the majority of the "horrors of war" depicted in the book were self-inflicted."

However, to understand the Catch-22 phrase in language you do need to read this book. You’ll go around in circles wrapped in circles. My philosophy professor loved this work. 🤣"

It gets kind of real at the end but this just shows the author want completely being flippant about the subject. There tv series mash was based on this. If you like that, you'll love this story."
