Topic: Merlin
I finished watching Merlin a few months ago and am finally ready to talk about the finale- and how bad it summed up the story. Anyone else have thoughts on the final few episodes?

Alex Winchester My thoughts are the fact that the show was al about Merlin and Arthur and how it was merlins whole destiny to protect Arthur and to save him countless times. But in the end Arthur still died so I feel like it negated the whole shows purpose

Ayesha Nabi Really enjoyed this serial, and I have seen it a couple of times. I didn't like the ending either and not because Arthur died but because I thought they tried too hard to make things dramatic. Anyone else felt that?

Melon Mel Oh definitely, every discussion was like spoopy music time. Like this dude would be wiping his ass, but he had to cunsult the dragon first lol

Lee Yeah it really felt like the show may have gotten canceled before they had time to finish their story properly. I also hated how their fight scenes with magic was literally casting a spell that threw the other person into a wall and that was it lol.

Harper Thomson I do like the very end when we see Merlin in the modern day still waiting for Arthur. I thought that was a fun touch.

Madison Addams Didn’t love what they did with Guinevere’s character by the end. Once she became queen I felt she was completely different and lost a lot of the traits that made her who she was. It felt like poor writing, not character development.
