The Perks of Being a Wallflower image

Topic: The Perks of Being a Wallflower

If you want to cry, read this book! 😭 It’s an incredible book, but is sad throughout the story and follows the life of a boy starting Highschool and dealing with different problems he’s having.

Mandy I love that this book never dies. It was the *it* book when I read it in 05’ and that was years after being written. To still see it charting with younger audiences is cool. Something is timeless about Charlie’s teenage angst and struggles.

jace **spoilers** I never realized that Charlie was molested until I discussed it with a friend and she told me like you really had to dig deep to see it but at the same time I was mad at Charlie for still admiring her because of the pain she caused him

lilly b It really was interesting how much Charlie admired her! I think it mentions how she used to listen to him whenever he had something on his mind, so that could partially be why he admired her so much

jace I was so confused as to why he still admired her even after she passed. That is such a traumatic experience and something that I could never wish on anyone let alone Charlie seeing as he was so nice. I loved how Patrick and sam took him under their wing and gave him a normal high school experience when he was much younger and not like them. I really admired them for that.
