Millie I rarely read more than the first book in a series unless I REALLY love it.

Tammy Legrand I find alot of times the series goes stale after the first 2-3 books.

RanchyFinch This is difficult because a lot of my favorite books are from series'. I think it really depends on the plot. Some stories should've been a standalone while others would've made a good series. It really depends and I can't say I prefer one over the other.

NotABookManiac Stand-alone an and series have their perks. Stand alones feel like a movie with a beginning middle and end with a clear plot line but series don’t have that as often but it flows more naturally than stand-alones. Love both depends on my mood and commitment

Hailey I have a lot of favorites or 5 star books that are part of a series but also ones that are standalones and I enjoy both...But I reach for standalones (or companion books that can be read as standalone's) more. Standalone's also don't require as much stamina as a series.

Serena I've only ever finished one series. I really enjoyed getting to read more about the characters I already loved and the continuation of their story. I love the concept and idea of a series, but I find that if I liked the first book TOO much, then I'm afraid the second or third or any of the subsequent books will ruin the first. So I find that really hard. And it's hard for me to commit to reading that much of one world because I get uninterested fast. So normally I really like standalones. But I would love to read a series if I knew that it wouldn't ruin how I felt about the first book. I guess it really depends.

Aaron Urie Series. Every stand alone book I've ever loved I've wished so hard there was more to the story.
