Maximum Ride fans were victims of the sunken cost fallacy, weren’t we? The first three books were good and grabbed us so effectively that we held on through, what, 10 years of the ghost writer books? When I look back on everything after “Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports” I can’t believe I invested so much time into something that disappointing.
