Topic: A Novel Love Story
Anyone else really disappointed in this book? Like, I know Ashley Poston’s debut novel “Geekerella” was bad, but it was a debut. Her other books have been really great, especially her adult romance books. There’s great elements of grief, forgiveness, appreciation, and love (not just romantic love, but also familiar love). This is just bad, and I’m wondering if she had a ghost writer for the other two books.

Madison C Yeah, I was pretty disappointed by it. I really enjoyed both The Seven Year Slip and The Dead Romantics, so I was looking forward to this one, but it just fell kind of flat for me. I don't regret checking it out, but it's definitely not what I expected. Also, I listened to the audio book, which might have made a slight positive difference for me. It was pretty slow paced, so I may not have been able to push through a physical copy.

Mandy I liked it tbh. Was a cool idea. Probably a solid 3 stars because I couldn’t connect with the townspeople. The writing seems in line with her other books so I don’t believe any ghost writers were involved. AP struggles with pacing in everything she’s written imo. Im sure her next one will be better, every romance writer has a few meh reads.
