The message might be a little on the nose once you think about it but the way it was told was interesting. I’m a sucker for the mommy horror sub genre there’s a lot you can do with that and this is a good example. Also the babadook=gay icon! 🏳️‍🌈"

"For me it was a movie that once was enough. Dark and depressing. Interesting the Mom not being able to move on after her husband dead, her grief was taking over her. By ignoring it, it was making it worse. Babadok represented her grief, her depression couldn’t let her live nor connect with her son. To confront it and accept it, she was able to get hold of her life. Didn’t like that the doggy was killed and yes I know it is fiction but still sad."
