"I've maybe been too generous with 5-star ratings recently but idk, I've just liked a lot of the stuff I've been watching recently. This movie has Shelly Duvall and Sissy Spacek (of Carrie fame) playing two women, or the same woman, or each other? Who they are is kind of the point of the movie. It's largely concerned with identity, how we construct it, and how the roles we fulfill relate to each other particularly when it comes to women in cinema. It's strange and beautiful, and completely engrossing. I wasn't a super big fan of any of the other Altman movies I've seen but after watching this I get it, man, this was great."
